financing

Finding financing can be difficult, especially for housing that isn’t the mainstream housing type! We’re excited to be developing relationships with lenders who are sympathetic to those of us who want to explore the possibilities for housing options. Your particular project and situation will determine which lender(s) will be the best fit.

ADU’s

Not ready to order a house from us yet but want to explore getting a Home Equity Line of Credit through America First Credit Union? They have some great solutions and can even figure in the expected value increase of your property in determining how much you’ll be qualified to pull out to cover both site work and a LivLab house. Then you can figure out with them whether the numbers work to move forward. With minimal info we can connect you to start the conversation (this is a no commitment place to start):

  • Your own bank: Modular houses that sit on permanent foundations should be able to get traditional financing, so a starting place would be your own bank if they do construction loans.

  • USDA for rural projects in low to medium income levels.

  • America First Credit Union for ADU’s. AFCU is interested in funding Accessory Dwelling Units via Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC’s), so if you own your home and have some equity, this is a great place to start. They can even take into consideration the value of your property after the ADU is installed in order to determine how much you qualify to borrow. To get started on an application for AFCU, fill out the form below and we’ll email you the form to start.
